
To celebrate V-Day (Victory Day) in Russia, for the first time since the fall of the Soviet Union, tanks, missiles and other heavy military equipment were on parade in the Red Square in Moscow. New President of the Russian Federation Dmitry Medvedev and new Prime Minister Vladimir Putin were both on hand to watch all the pomp and circumstance. This extremely rare and beautiful giant cat was recently captured on a "camera trap" in the Primorskiy region of Russia, bordering China and North Korea. It's called an Amur Leopard, and according to National Geographic, "Fewer than 40 Amurs - also called Far Eastern leopards - still prowl the temperate forests of Russia's Far East and parts of China, making the Amur the world's rarest big cat."
